December is peak season, so book flights and the Krabi ferry early. The eSIM is the one thing you can sort in five minutes now. Here is the pick for seven days, then the day-by-day.
Land in Bangkok
Turn the eSIM on at the gate; AIS and True both have 5G at BKK. Grab to the hotel, evening at Asiatique.
Grand Palace and Chinatown
Maps and translation apps all day: budget 600 MB.
Fly to Krabi
Ao Nang has strong AIS coverage. Book the four-island tour for tomorrow on the hotel Wi-Fi.

Signal drops between islands on every network; download offline maps and photos will upload later.
Railay beach day
Light data day. If you are on a 5 GB plan you should still have half left.
Back to Bangkok, shopping
Chatuchak on Saturday if the dates line up. Card payments work; keep the home SIM on for bank OTPs.
Fly home
Delete the eSIM profile after landing at home so it does not sit on your SIM list.
